Zip It!

I went shopping this past weekend with a friend of mine.  While we were out and about, I couldn't help but notice all the items we passed with zipper detailing.  Now, we aren't talking actual full fledged zippers.  But designers are edging all sorts of clothing and accessories with zipper prongs- hello trend! 

Ironically, only days before this outting, I had snagged this top at Target, zipper prong embellishments included (hard to see in the pic, but the silver in the middle of the ruffle is zipper prong) :
